About the Role
The HR Intern / Contractor will work closely with the Founder and the Operations Lead,They will have the opportunity to showcase practical problem solving skills as this role provides a valuable opportunity to learn and contribute to the organization while enhancing skills and developing a comprehensive understanding of HR from the early stages of the organization.
Duration:
3 months of internship / contract, with the possibility of extension based on performance.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist in the following areas -
* Sourcing candidates through various channels (job portals, social media, campus etc.).
* Screen resumes and project manage all stages of the selection process to closure.
* Coordinate interview schedules and communicate with candidates effectively and positively.
*Effectively onboard new hires & facilitate a smooth transition. File paperwork and compliance.
*Create employment branding material and communications on job portals, campus, social media
2. Employee Engagement:
* Aid in organizing low cost, high impact employee engagement initiatives and events.
* Assist in listening & gathering feedback on improvement areas. Prepare recommendations.
* Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive and winning work culture.
3. HR Administration:
* Help maintain and update employee records and databases.
* Support in preparing HR-related documents, including offer letters and employment contracts.
* Assist with various HR records, such as attendance tracking and leave management.
*Manage the payroll system and payments related to employees
4. Compliance:
* Assist in ensuring compliance with company policies and legal & HR requirements.
5. General HR & Administrative Support:
* Provide general HR & Office administrative support to the team as needed.
* Handle HR-related inquiries from employees and redirect them as appropriate.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's or Master's program in Human Resources, Business Administration or related fields. Engineers or Finance professionals may also apply if they feel they have the capabilities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & leveraging of social media
Knowledge of HR principles and practices is a plus, but not required.
